Canadore College to celebrate 36th annual Pow Wow

The First Peoples’ Centre at Canadore College, in partnership with the Canadore Students’ Council, invites members of the media to attend the 36th Annual Pow Wow, taking place on Saturday, February 7, 2026.

This year’s theme, Honouring Our Elders, recognizes the vital role Elders play in preserving cultural knowledge, teachings, and traditions. In keeping with this theme, the Head Dancers and Host Drummers will be primarily youth who are acknowledging their Elders by learning from their teachings and stepping into their cultural responsibilities.

Media are welcome to attend this important cultural gathering, which celebrates intergenerational learning, respect, and community.
