My big sister left us to be with our mother and father and grandparents on December 31st, 2025 after a short illness.
Marg was born in North Bay on June 18, 1940 to parents Lena and John O’Connor (predeceased). Also predeceased by her husband Don. She had a big heart for Carol O’Connor (predeceased). She is survived by her brother Tom (Kathy) and nephews and nieces David (Mary) of Fargo ND, Steve (Sharon) of North Bay, Christine (Mark Latour) of Restoule and John (Steacy) of Abu Dhabi UAE and her special niece Pamela and her fur baby Charlie.
Marg lived independently for many years until she lost Don. For the next 13 years she lived at Cassellholme, where she made many friends. Marg had her special place in the hallway greeting everyone. She claimed the corner spot and chair to be her own. Marg would call the house every evening around 6pm or so to chat with her little brother and (Nana) telling of the events of the day. During her earlier years, she babysat the four little “rugrats” many times. Lately, she very much enjoyed getting out with staff for rides on the new bike at Cassellholme. She also delighted in telling us about the latest stuffed animal or prizes she had won at Bingo.
To honour her wishes, there will be visitation or service. Cremation has taken place. A private burial will be held in the spring.
Special thanks to all the staff at Cassellholme who helped her through her stay and made her feel special. Donation to a charity of choice will be gratefully acknowledged by her family.
