Picard, Marc
It is with great sadness that the family of Marc Picard announces his sudden passing on December 30, 2025 in North Bay, at the age of 69 years.
He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years Patricia Guenette; father to Martin (Camille) of Berlin and Pierre of North Bay. Marc was the loving son of Madeline (Rivet) Picard and the late Albert Picard. He is also survived by his sisters, Michelle Amyotte (Claude) and Marie Curry (late William). He will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends.
Marc graduated from Sault College in Forestry Management and spent most of his working life playing an integral role alongside his father at Al Picard Cabinets, where he worked for over 35 years.
An avid outdoorsman, Mark took an interest in scuba diving and sailing in his younger years. He also loved skiing, snowboarding, and dirt biking with his boys when they were younger. Marc was a Scout leader for many years and enjoyed camping with his family every summer.
Marc was also a devoted dog lover who enjoyed competitive agility with his beloved border collies Tess and Pepper.
Two years ago, Marc began the ambitious project of building his own fishing boat with his son Pierre. Its completion and successful launch became a source of great pride and their favourite pastime together.
Marc will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
A special thank you to Marilyn Schiavo, as well as to all our friends and neighbours for their support and to Dr. Brian Shaw and Dr. Katherine Shaw.
A gathering to celebrate his life will be held at Hillside Funeral Services on Friday January 9th from 10 am until 12 pm, with a tribute to Marc at 11:30 am.
Donations to the North Bay Regional Health Centre Foundation in memory of Marc will be gratefully acknowledged by his family. Online condolences at www.hillsidefuneral.ca
