10th Hike for Hospice surpasses goal
Nipissing Serenity Hospice is hosting its 10th anniversary Hike for Hospice this weekend, and it’s already a fundraising success.
An in-person community walk is taking place at noon on Friday, Oct. 10.
For those who can’t be there, they’re invited to walk or hike at any point over the long weekend in their own communities.
According to its website, this year’s goal of $100,000 has already been surpassed by nearly $18,000.
Over the years, the Hike for Hospice has raised over $657,000.
Officials say Nipissing Serenity Hospice has served over 550 residents and their families, offering free palliative care services, since its inception.
