2025 Smoke ’N Spurs Festival
Planning is well underway for the 2025 Smoke ’N Spurs Festival.
It’s set to take place Aug. 28-31 in Papineau-Cameron.
“Right now, on the schedule we’ve announced Tyler Joe Miller for our Saturday night headliner,” says Jess Knowlton, festival coordinator. “We’ve also announced Rawhide Rodeos will be back this year.”
With a lot of the same activities as last year planned, she adds there’s plenty more to be announced once contracts are signed.
She also says they’ve taken feedback and are making adjustments with parking around accessibility to the grounds, including where gates are located.
The 2024 event was the first in Papineau-Cameron since moving from Powassan.
“We had an incredible turnout,” Knowlton says. “A lot of people that attended in the past showed up and a lot of new people. It felt like everyone from Mattawa was there. It went very well.”
She says their website has been revamped and tickets are already on sale. That includes campsites, too.
“One of the really cool new features we have this year is for people who want to camp together as a group, they can actually select the site that they want to camp in this year,” Knowlton says.
