4,000 Dreamcoat photos among items stolen

Dreamcoat Fantasy Theatre is putting out the call for help in relocating a connection to its past.

The children’s charity and community theatre group says more than 4,000 photos, most of them irreplaceable, were among the items stolen from a car at their Birches Road storage location on Aug. 20.

“These memories are immensely valuable to us,” states a post on social media. “If this is you, please return this bag – you stole from a children’s charity – we are offering a reward, no questions asked. If this is someone you know, please convince them to return this bag or let us know how to find it – we are offering a reward, no questions asked.”

Items include:

  • Black Lenovo ThinkPad 520 laptop
  • Black nylon Dell laptop bag with broken zipper – also contained (valuable only to the owner) Samsung external SSD drive (with the photos), personal notebooks, and sentimental greeting card

Officials also say they’ve forwarded a tip to city police for follow-up.
