$45,000 worth of drugs off North Bay streets after NBPS investigation
A 43-year-old North Bay man is facing a slew of drug trafficking charges after a city police investigation.
The North Bay Police Service says last Wednesday (Nov. 19) around 3:30 p.m., the accused was arrested following an investigation, and a search warrant was executed at a residence on the 300 block of Fisher St.
The drugs seized have an estimated street value of $45,000, and include cocaine, fentanyl, oxycodone and more. Over $13,000 in cash, a ‘manufactured’ 12-gauge shotgun and more were also found.
The accused was charged with:
- Trafficking in a Schedule I Substance (Cocaine)
- Trafficking in a Schedule I Substance (Fentanyl)
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (Cocaine)
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (Fentanyl)
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (Crack Cocaine)
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (Oxycodone)
- Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
- Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000
- Produce a Schedule I Substance (Fentanyl)
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
- Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
Ins. McFarlane says it represents another significant impact on the local drug supply.
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing, and has been remanded with a December court date.
