Winter weather travel advisory in effect for today, this morning continuing into early this afternoon.

The hazards include reduced visibility at times in heavy snow and blowing snow.
Total snowfall accumulation of 5 to 10 cm by this afternoon.

Lake effect flurries, combined with snow associated with a low-pressure system will continue to affect the area this morning before tapering off early this afternoon.

Travel may be hazardous due to sudden changes in the weather. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.
