Active Resale Listings And Average Home Price Up Locally In June
It’s been five years since active home listings were this high in June in the North Bay area.
The North Bay and Area Realtors Association says statistics show there were 273 units on the market at the end of last month.
That’s up over 34% from June last year. It’s 27% higher than the five-year average.
Also on the rise was the average price of homes sold in June, which came in at just over $472,000. The figure is up 9% year-over-year.
The 175 new residential listings were also up, albeit only by one.
Most other statistics were down in June, including the number of units sold through the MLS® System. 98 units were sold, which is down nearly 23% year over year.
It’s also well below the five and ten-year averages for June, by about 29% and 33% respectively.
The dollar value of home sales dropped nearly 16% in June, to $46.3 million.
