Additional Charges Laid in Shooting Incident
A 21-year-old North Bay man remains in custody and will appear in bail court on June 12th in relation to additional charges that were laid in a recent Birch Haven shooting investigation.
The accused in this incident is;
Cameron Patrick WRIGHT, male, 21-years, of North Bay, who is additionally charged with;
· Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
· Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
· Tampering with a Serial Number of a Firearm
· Careless Storage of a Firearm
· Careless Storage of Ammunition
· Possession of a Scheduled 1 Substance
Members of the NBPS Criminal Investigations Unit continued their investigation into a shooting which took place in the early morning hours of June 5th, in the parking lot of a Birch Haven school. As result of information which was gathered during the investigation, a search warrant was obtained for a residence.
As a result of the search warrant, the following items were seized by police:
· A loaded semi-automatic 22 caliber rifle
· Various ammunition
· 57 MDMA pills
The charges laid as a result of the search warrant, are in addition to the 13 criminal charges that were initially laid by police at the time of the incident.
The accused remains in custody and will appear in bail court on June 12th.
