Alex Little Named 1 of the Stars of the Week
The Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League (NOJHL) announced Monday that forward Lucas Lowe (Timmins Rock); defenceman Alex Little (Powassan Voodoos) and forward Daniel Vasic (Blind River Beavers) have been named its Eastlink TV 3 Stars of the Week, for the period ending February 24.
ALEX LITTLE, (D) POWASSAN VOODOOS: The veteran blueliner’s efforts at both ends of the ice, helped the Voodoos post a 3-0-1-0 mark in a four-game road swing over the time frame.
In all, the 20-year-old from Minden, Ont., Little picked up a couple of markers, including a shorthanded goal, and doled out four helpers to help pace Powassan offensively.
Having appeared in 130 league match-ups in his Jr. A career, the Voodoos captain has accumulated 109 points along the way by scoring 38 times and adding 71 assists.
