With profound sadness, the Stone family shares that Murray Stone suddenly passed away in a tragic accident on Thursday, October 8, 2026, in Callander, Ontario.
Born in Parry Sound, Ontario, and raised in Dunchurch, Murray lived life to the fullest through his love for family, NASCAR, nature, and exploration. He began realizing one bucket list dream by building a winter Man Cave for his Spyder in what he affectionately called the “Spyder Webb.”
Murray leaves behind his wife, Debra; his children, Shaun (Susanna) and Kelly; and his stepchildren, Richard Stivrins (Emily) and Andrea Walasek (Andrew), who will cherish their many memories of him.
Grandpa to Damian, Simone, Justin, Jayden, Makayla, and Cassie. Grandpa Stone to Cam, Brooke, Harvey, and Nina. Brother of Adrienne Miller and the late Marilyn Maki. Favorite Uncle to Kirsti Maki and Terry Maki as well as Terry’s family. Special lifelong friend to Richard Brear (Mary) of Parry Sound.
As per his wishes, cremation has taken place and an interment will occur at Fairholme Cemetery in Dunchurch (Whitestone). In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Knights of Columbus 6664, East Ferris for the Seniors Villa of East Ferris. Arrangements entrusted to Martyn Funeral Home.
Murray – in your honour, we will help you achieve your final goal of completing the Spyder Webb. Until we meet again.
