And then there were two… Northlander trainsets
The second Northlander trainset is in Ontario.
Transportation Minister Prabmeet Sarkaria announced last week on social media the trainset has arrived.
“It’s another exciting milestone as we get ready to reconnect communities across Northern Ontario to downtown Toronto later this year,” he says.

Officials previously announced the second train set will undergo static testing then on-track testing, just like the first one, which arrived in January.
Once up and running, the passenger rail service will travel 740 km between Toronto and Timmins, with a rail connection to Cochrane, for a total of 16 stops.
Along with connecting people with places, Sarkaria says the Northlander will increase access to healthcare, education, and jobs.
He says it will also support tourism and local economies across the region.
