Another $400,000 In Casino-Related Revenue Delivered

More casino-related revenue is flowing to North Bay.

Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) says its first quarter (April 1 – June 30) payment to the city for hosting Cascades Casino North Bay amounts to $400,000.

That brings the total received to $3.5 million since the gaming site opened in March 2022.

OLG says the payments to host communities are based on a formula that is consistently applied across all land-based casino sites in Ontario using a graduated scale of gaming revenue at the hosted site.

“Investing OLG’s profits back into host communities is another example of our government’s continued efforts to strengthen local infrastructure and community programs,” says Stan Cho, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Gaming. “We remain focused on working with our municipal partners to ensure that communities across Ontario have the supports in place to empower their residents to lead active, fulfilling lives and enable local businesses to thrive.”

The money will be used as a funding source for community capital projects.
