Environment Canada has issued a Snow Squall Warning Tuesday 16 January 2024
Additional local snow accumulations of 5 to 10 cm today with possibly more lake effect snow tonight and Wednesday.
Significantly reduced visibility due to heavy snow and local blowing snow. Lake effect snow continues to affect portions of the region today and possibly into Wednesday.
Lake effect snow bands from Georgian Bay and Lake Huron are expected to affect portions of the North Bay - Nipissing and Killarney regions. The lake effect bands are expected to shift from time to time, but should persist into Wednesday for some regions.
Visibility will be suddenly reduced to near zero at times in heavy snow and blowing snow. Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility.
Consider postponing non-essential travel until conditions improve.
