Another lane closed as part of Trout Lake Road reconstruction

The city says drivers will see traffic controls increase around the Trout Lake Road and Laurentian Avenue intersection Tuesday, as reconstruction work continues.

Officials say another lane is being closed on Trout Lake Road, reducing traffic to one lane in each direction through the construction zone.

They say the north section of Laurentian Avenue and Bank Street will also be closed to through traffic, with a signed detour in place.

“Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and follow all posted traffic control signage while work is underway,” states a release.

The city says the project includes reconstruction of Trout Lake Road between Highway 11/17 and Kingsway Avenue, construction of a multi-use path and sidewalk, and conversion of the Laurentian Avenue intersection into a roundabout.
