Another Provincial Candidate in Nipissing

Another Provincial Candidate in Nipissing

By Richard Coffin

There are now three candidates in Nipissing for the upcoming provincial election.

The New Democrats held a meeting Wednesday night to nominate chef and Mattawa councillor Loren Mick.

Incumbent Vic Fedeli is running for the Conservatives and nursing student Colton Chaput is the Green Party candidate.

Ontarians are heading to the polls on February 27.

Voter registration is taking place on the Elections Ontario website.

Because the election is only four weeks there will only be three days of advance voting instead of the usual ten.

That will take place Feb. 20-22.

Officials say Elections Ontario will be hiring more than 55,000 election workers and will establish more than 7,000 voting locations across the province for the 10.8 million eligible voters.
