Police Investigating Stabbing Incident (Police asking for public's assistance)
The North Bay Police Service Criminal Investigations Unit is investigating a stabbing incident that occurred last evening, at a residence in the 1200 block of Lakeshore Drive.
On the 27th of June, at around 6:30 pm, North Bay Police Service patrol officers were dispatched to an incident in the 1200 block of Lakeshore Drive. A male was located on Lakeshore Drive, suffering from multiple stab wounds. He was being assisted by individuals that had gathered to help. EMS transported the male to a local hospital, where he was stabilized and eventually air-lifted to a Sudbury hospital, where he remains in stable condition.
Police are still actively investigating the incident, and at this time investigators can advise the public that the two individuals involved in this incident are known to each other, and there is no risk to the general public. At this time, no arrests have been made in regard to the incident.
The North Bay Police Service’s Criminal Investigations Unit is continuing to investigate this incident, and is requesting the public’s assistance. Investigators are seeking eyewitnesses and possible dash cam footage in the 1200 block area of Lakeshore Drive, between 6 pm and 7 pm on June 27th, that may have captured any portion of the incident.
