Applications for Summer Company Program

Applications for Summer Company Program

By Richard Coffin

Students between the ages of 15 and 29 are once again being given the opportunity to run a business.

MPP Vic Fedeli says applications to the Summer Company program, which offers grants up to $3,000 to start a full-time business are being accepted.

The students will also receive at least 12 hours of business training and one-on-one mentoring.

“Our government is working around the clock to help small businesses and young entrepreneurs succeed because we see first-hand the impact they have. When Nipissing’s small businesses prosper, local families thrive, and our economy continues to grow,” says Fedeli. “We encourage all eligible young entrepreneurs in Nipissing to apply for this funding.”

Successful Summer Company applicants receive:

  • up to $1,500 up front to help with start-up costs
  • up to $1,500 when successfully completing program requirements

The deadline to apply to the Business Centre-Nipissing Parry Sound is May 16.
