Ask Mayor & Council

Our weekly feature called “Asking Mayor and Council” is a weekly question regarding their governing roles. Given that Council has under taken a full operations review to save tax payers money, Councilor Bain has suggested reducing the size of council to 8 from 10 to save 75,000 per year or over 1 million dollars over a 10 year period given council’s yearly raises.

Our question this week is

Do You Support reducing Council’s size to 8 to save 75,000 per year?

Mayor and Council is asked to respond by Monday at 5pm in a 100 words or less (even a simple YES or NO is acceptable). We will post the responses in the order we receive them Tuesday morning.
