Assault and Weapon threats following Incident on Fisher Street

A local man is facing multiple charges in connection with property damage, assaults, and threats involving a weapon.
On Saturday, August 9, at approximately 12:35 p.m., the accused reportedly attended a Fisher Street residence where two victims, unknown to the accused, were present. Victims observed the accused pick up a rock, scrape it along two vehicles, and throw it at the vehicles, causing damage. While officers were enroute, the victims were continuing to monitor the accused, when the accused brandished a weapon aggressively and uttered threats toward the two victims.
North Bay Police Service arrived while the incident was ongoing and arrested the accused without further incident. A subsequent search resulted in the seizure of the weapon.
“Our dispatchers and officers worked together to quickly and safely bring a rapidly escalating situation under control,” said Acting Deputy Chief Warner, North Bay Police Service. “They were able to prevent further harm to the victims and ensure broader community safety.”
The accused, Justin Rocheleau, 33-year-old, male, of North Bay, has been charged with the following offences:
- Two Counts of Assault with a Weapon
- Two Counts of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
- Two Counts of Uttering Threats – Cause Death or Bodily Harm
- Mischief Under $5,000
- Two Counts of Fail to Comply with Probation Order
The accused was arrested and held in custody pending a bail hearing.
