Attempted Murder in North Bay
Officers from the North Bay Police Service Patrol section, responded to a call on Massey Drive on March 10th, just after 7am, in relation to a male being stabbed several times. As a result of this incident, a North Bay male has been arrested.
On Sunday March 10th, at approximately 7:15 am, North Bay Police Service received a call from the North Bay Ambulance Service in relation to a male who had reportedly been stabbed several times at a Massey Drive residence. Upon police arrival, paramedics were treating an adult male who was suffering from multiple stab wounds to numerous parts of his upper body. The male was transported to hospital with life threatening injuries. The victim remains in hospital in stable condition.
Upon investigating, officers discovered that the accused, who is known to the victim, began stabbing the victim with an edged weapon after a brief altercation. After the altercation the accused fled the residence. The North Bay Police Service Criminal Investigations Section took over the investigation, and with the assistance of the North Bay Police Service Forensic Identification Unit and the OPP K-9 Unit, the accused was identified. A warrant was issued for the arrest of accused, and with the assistance of the North Bay Police Service’s Emergency Response Team, the Street Crime Unit, and members of the Criminal Investigation Section, the accused was located in the early morning hours of March 12th.
Kyle Alexander LEBLOND, age 30, of North Bay, who is charged with, one count of Attempt Murder, one count of Assault with a Weapon, one count of Weapons Dangerous and two counts of Breach of Probation
The accused was taken into custody without incident and held for a bail hearing on March 12th, 2024.
The accused was remanded in custody with a next court date of March 19th.
