Beaupré, Léo

Léo Paul-Emile Beaupré died peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on Friday, December 29, 2023. Loving husband of Wilda Houle, proud father of Chantal (Scott Ross) and Natalie (Derek Fulton). A loving son, predeceased by his parents, Maxime Beaupré and Gabrielle Beaupré-Kipfer and his brothers, Ernest Beaupré, (Patricia Nelson) and Maurice Kipfer (Sherry). He is survived by his one sister, Evelyn Baillargeon (Denis). Cherished grand-papa to Alexander & Emilie Ross (Tyler Poitras), Gabrielle & Matthieu Fulton and will be deeply missed by his many nieces and nephews.

 Born in Mattawa, Ontario, Léo was a dedicated teacher, and retired as Principal of École Sainte-Anne, after 35 years in education with the Conseil Catholique Franco-Nord. A kind and gentle soul, Léo had a major impact on many of his students during his career in education. His other passion, for sports, led to many years of dedicated coaching, mentoring, and being a skilled player. We take great comfort in knowing that he's now enjoying endless rounds on the celestial golf course.

 The family would like to thank Dr. P. Kumar and the staff at the NBRHC for their compassionate care during his stay.

 Family receiving friends at Hillside Funeral Services, 362 Airport Rd., on Saturday January 6, 2024 from 2 pm until 3 pm. A celebration of his life will follow at 3 pm.

 Donations in Léo’s memory can be made to the North Bay Food Bank or a simple act of kindness in his memory, would be appreciated.

~~~~~
Né à Mattawa, en Ontario, Léo était un enseignant dévoué. Il a pris sa retraite en tant que directeur de l'école Sainte-Anne, après 35 ans d'enseignement au sein du Conseil catholique Franco-Nord. D'une grande gentillesse, Léo a eu un impact important sur plusieurs de ses élèves au cours de sa carrière en éducation.
 Son autre passion, les sports, l'a amené à consacrer de nombreuses années à l'entraînement, au mentorat et à être un joueur talentueux. Nous sommes très réconfortés de savoir qu'il joue maintenant sur le terrain de golf céleste.
 La famille tient à remercier le Dr P. Kumar et le personnel du NBRHC pour les soins attentionnés qu'ils lui ont accordés pendant son séjour.
 La famille recevra parents et amis à l’établissement funéraire Hillside, le samedi 6 janvier de 14h00 à 15h00 suivi par une célébration de vie à 15h00.
 Des dons à la mémoire de Léo peuvent être faits à la banque alimentaire de North Bay ou un simple geste de gentillesse en sa mémoire serait apprécié.
