Raymond Belanger

 It is with great sadness that Barbara, Melissa, Stephen announce the passing of Ray at Nipissing Serenity Hospice on December 24, 2023.

 Ray is survived by his wife Barbara of 54 years, his daughter Melissa and his son Stephen (Alexis).  He was “Poppa” to his wonderful grandchildren Kassandra (Kari). Nicholas, and Reina and soon to be great grandfather William and Kyla. His is survived by his sister Linda Lepage and brother Alcide (Diane).  His sister in law Bev Baker and brother in law Mel McDonald (Tina). He will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews from both sides of the family. 

 He was predeceased by his father Victor, his mother Melvina, his brother Ronald, his sisters Ona and Jackie.

 Ray was born and raised in North Bay and in his adult years he was employed by the City of North Bay Fire Department for 33 years.  Ray was also an excellent Carpenter and handy man working on our home and many others over the years. Ray enjoyed playing pool with his friends Brian, Eric and Dave.  He also enjoyed his coffee breaks at Ivan’s Restaurant. 

To the staff at the Nipissing Serenity Hospice words can’t express the gratitude we feel for your excellent care and kindness through a difficult time for both Ray and our family. “Thank you” from all of us.  To Dr Mah and his staff Robin and Kelly your help and understanding was greatly appreciated by myself and my children. 

 Finally to Ray we love you and we will miss you.  Your Family.

 At the family’s request there will not be a visitation or service.  Please keep Ray in your thoughts.
