BENTLEY, Jane
Unexpectedly but peacefully passed away surrounded by the love of her family at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on Friday June 12, 2026, at the age of 72 years. Jane Elizabeth Bentley (nee Anderson) born in Hamilton on December 8th, 1953, was the beloved wife of Marc Bentley, and the loving mother to Michael, Shari, and Edward Bentley. She was the cherished grandmother to Katelin, Shaynna and Travis Bentley, and proud great grandmother to Hailey, Grayson, Thomas, Judas, Brynlee, Delilah and Mckenna.
Preceded in death by her mother the late Isabel Anderson (nee Donald) and her late father Bob Anderson. Also, by her beloved in-laws Lorraine Bentley (nee Larocque) and Gerald Bentley. She is reunited with her siblings James, Lorraine and William Villiers as well as Melville Gregory.
Jane was well known for her gentle smile and warm laugh and admired for her strength and resilience. She enjoyed painting, puzzles, and gardening. She loved all animals.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff on the Critical Care Unit, particularly her nurse Daniella. They provided such comfort and care in her last moments.
As per Jane’s wishes a cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Life will take place at a future date.
