Bernadette "Bernie" Hattie Brown (Facette)

Bernadette "Bernie" Hattie Brown (Facette), passed away on June 15, 2026, in her 94th year at Nipissing Serenity Hospice in North Bay, Ontario.

Born in 1932 in Callander to Louis and Alice Facette, she will be remembered for her love of family, love of sports (especially curling and the Blue Jays) and the strong bonds that she had built with those who were privileged to have known her warmth and presence.

Bernadette was predeceased by the love of her life and husband Gordon Brown, sons Brian and Danny and grandson Christopher Nesbitt, her sisters Sister Jaqueline, Adrienne and brother Lucien.

Bernadette is survived by her children Larry (Debbie), Myles and Karen Rasmussen (Larry), and Andy (Kelly-Ann), her grandchildren Jon Nesbitt, Gordon, Nathan, Danaka and Adam. Great-Grandchildren Evan, Elanore and Byron. Her Sister Dianne Bowden (Gary) and brothers Leo (Gloria) and Michael Facette.

She will be deeply and forever missed, cherished and loved.

A funeral service will be held on July 24th at 10:30am at Holy Name of Jesus Church in North Bay

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Nipissing Serenity Hospice in her honour.
