Brazen Scam........Picked up cash after calling

North Bay Police Services officers were notified on the 11th of January of a scam in which local residents were receiving phone calls in relation to a relative that was in jail and needed bail money.

In most cases the person receiving the call hung up however in 3 cases, the conversation continued and the arrangements were made for cash to be picked up from the victim. A short time later, a female attended 3 homes representing a "lawyer" and she picked up cash and left on foot. It is believed she was picked up in a large black truck. Police are continuing to investigate and are releasing photos of the female subject in hopes that the public can assist in identifying her.
