Suspect Arrested During Attempt Break and Enter
On January 3rd, 2024, members of the North Bay Police Service arrested and charged a 40-year-old male with Attempt Break and Enter, Carry Concealed Weapon, Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Break-in Tools.
The accused is 40-year-old male, Patrick Depotier, of North Bay, who is charged with:
One count of Attempt Break and Enter
One count of Carrying a Concealed Weapon
One count of Possession of Break-in Tools
Two Counts of Possession of a Controlled Substances
On January 3rd, at approximately 6:40 am, a resident of Ski Club Road heard someone attempting to gain entry to his back door. After a brief interaction with the suspect through the door, the victim then heard the suspect at the front door attempting to gain entry there. The victim called police, and members of the North Bay Police Service immediately attended and took the suspect into custody without further incident. Upon searching the accused, he was found to be in possession of an edged weapon, break-in tools and two types of controlled substances.
The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing.
