Brent Dashney

With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Brent Dashney, who passed away after a brief illness on February 20, 2026, at the North Bay Regional Health Centre at the age of 69.

Born on July 27th, 1956, Brent was the beloved son of the late Dorothy and Philip Dashney. He was a cherished brother to Wayne Dashney (Marlene) and Randy Dashney (Wendy).

Brent was a proud and loving uncle to Brandon Dashnay and Brittany (née Dashnay) McCrea, and the great-uncle to Carter, Quinn, and Nixon. He was also dearly loved by his many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Brent will be remembered for his quick wit and unmistakable sense of humour. He had a way of bringing laughter into a room and calming even the heaviest moments. Above all, Brent held strong family values and took great pride in staying connected to those he loved.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.

A celebration of Brent’s life will take place in the near future, with details to be shared with family and friends.
