BRIDGES (née-Brown), Carol

Peacefully left this life on Friday, December 13, 2024. Predeceased by her beloved husband, Harry (2019). Mom of Scott (Jane Exton), Lisa (Paul Demaline), and Craig (Alisha Matheny). Will forever remain loving Grammy to Callum and Meaghan Bridges, Brendan and Sarah Demaline, and Peter and Alastair Bridges. 

Born in Toronto, Carol grew up in Keswick, attended Oshawa General Nursing School and moved to North Bay in 1965. She led a highly respected professional life as a nurse at Saint Joe’s and Civic Hospitals. In retirement, she contributed to her communities through numerous volunteer roles, touching the lives of many with her kindness, determination and generous spirit. Carol is known for her hospitality and bountiful kitchen, making everyone welcome in her home. She met people wherever she went, took the time to have a friendly chat with strangers, and kept contact with lifelong friends both near and far. 

Carol encouraged us all to live our best lives and assured us that she felt blessed for the full life she had lived. 

A Celebration of Carol, an opportunity to share stories with family and friends, will be held at the Martyn Funeral Home on Saturday, May 3, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
