Business group in West Nipissing ceasing operations

The West Nipissing Chamber of Commerce is no more.  

In a letter to members, President Pamela Fraser says the chamber is ceasing operations and they’re collaborating with the team at the North Bay & District Chamber of Commerce effective immediately.  

“There have been serious challenges experienced by our Chamber and the decision to no longer provide active operations was not made lightly,” states Fraser’s letter.  “With no staff, physical office, or volunteer board, it's become increasingly difficult for me personally to carry the weight of the organization alone.”  

She says the North Bay & District Chamber is committed to ensuring all members in West Nipissing receive the necessary support and resources. 

“I believe that by working together with them, it's a natural step forward as they can continue to advocate for our interests, provide networking opportunities, and offer essential resources to help business thrive,” says Fraser.   

She says while it’s difficult news to share, she appreciates the members’ understanding and support during the transition.  

“Together, we can overcome challenges and work towards a stronger future for all business in the district of Nipissing,” Fraser says. 

She is encouraging members to reach out to the North Bay team.
