Robert Thomas Cairns - January 15, 1944 - February 14, 2026

 Robert Cairns, aged 82, passed away surrounded by family after a lengthy illness.

Beloved husband of Maria Cairns, devoted father of Laura Hall (Mark) and Robert Cairns (Lisa), cherished grandfather of Madison, Sydney, Ethan, McKenzie, and Andrew.

Robert was a proud retired police officer with the North Bay Police Service. He lived his life with authenticity, integrity, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys of everyday life. He loved hockey and was a loyal Toronto Maple Leafs fan.

A lover of nature and the outdoors, Robert spent countless hours enjoying parks, forests, and quiet walks that reminded him of life’s beauty. His genuine kindness, gentle humour, and steadfast love for his family will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

The family will hold a private service to celebrate his life, with a memorial gathering to follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the North Bay Food Bank or the North Bay Humane Society.
