Callander accepts resignations of Mayor Robb Noon and Councillor Irene Smit
The Municipality of Callander has announced it has accepted the resignations of Mayor Robb Noon and Councillor Irene Smit.
Other than thanking them for their service and wishing them well, no other details were provided in a brief announcement issued on Friday afternoon.
On social media, Deputy Mayor Jordy Carr said while they are not able to share additional details right now, Council and administration continue their work, and municipal operations remain steady and uninterrupted.
She adds Council is taking the appropriate steps to ensure continuity, stability, and responsible leadership for the community, with an update to be shared when it is appropriate and possible to do so.
