Cameron Lemcke named 1 of 3 Stars
The Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League (NOJHL) announced Monday that forward Liam Wells (Timmins Rock); goalie Jake Marois (Espanola Paper Kings) and forward Cameron Lemcke (Powassan Voodoos) have been named its Eastlink TV 3 Stars of the Week, for the period ending February 4.
CAMERON LEMCKE, (F) POWASSAN VOODOOS: The 20-year-old North Bay area product recorded 1 goal and 2 assists during a pair of road victories for the Voodoos last week.
Lemcke started the week by scoring an important insurance marker in the Voodoos 5-2 comeback win over the Greater Sudbury Cubs last Thursday while also adding a third period assist.
The power forward then added an assist on Alex Little’s game winner in the Voodoos 4-1 win over the French River Rapids on Saturday night in Noelville.
Lemcke, who eclipsed the 100-point total in his NOJHL junior career back in January, has netted 16 goals along with 35 assists for 51 points in 43 games with the Voodoos this season.
