CAMSafe security camera program arrives
A database of residential and commercial security cameras is being set up in West Nipissing.
Ontario Provincial Police with the Nipissing West detachment are implementing the CAMSafe program, which can be used as a resource for police when investigating crimes.
Once area residents and businesses register with the program, police can access a map with addresses of camera locations and basic contact information.
The OPP says officers cannot access security cameras or cloud-based accounts, they would make a request to the property owner to view the footage.
