CanAfric Theatre presenting dinner-theatre experience on Saturday
The community is being invited to step into the heart of African culture with a dinner-theatre performance this weekend.

Under the African Baobab Tree – The Joyful Power of Words and Music takes place Saturday from 6-10 pm at the Near North Makers Space in Downtown North Bay. It’s presented by CanAfric Théâtre CanAfrique.
Led by artist, educator, and musician Justine Gogoua, officials say the bilingual dinner-theatre experience fuses rich cultural education with immersive entertainment, shining a light on the resilience, courage, and ultimate triumph of newly arrived African women building new lives in Northern Ontario.

“We are excited to bring this vibrant, interactive celebration of resilience and community to the heart of downtown North Bay,” says Gogoua. “Under the African Baobab Tree is a bridge between cultures, using the universal languages of music, rhythm, and oral storytelling to educate, inspire, and unite us.”
Tickets are available at canafric.eventbrite.ca
The event is funded in part by the Ontario Arts Council and Caisse Alliance North Bay.
