Celebrating Nature in Laurier Woods this weekend

The annual Louise de Kiriline Lawrence Nature Festival is back this weekend at the Brule Street entrance to Laurier Woods.

The Friends of Laurier Woods and Nipissing Naturalist Club are inviting the community to the free event, which runs from 10 am to 3 pm on Saturday, Aug. 16.

Officials say there will be guided hikes describing the wetlands, edible plants, forestry details and more.

There will also be vendors, special guests, educational games and kids activities, too.
