Chamber wants to find out potential impact of tariffs on Local Business

By Richard Coffin

Tariffs are the focus of an anonymous survey being conducted by the North Bay & District Chamber of Commerce.

They’re looking to understand the potential impact of U.S. and Canadian tariffs on local businesses.

“Your participation is crucial in helping us gather insights into how these tariffs are affecting various industries and what support or resources are needed to address the challenges posed by these trade policies,” states a release.

Along with the impact, officials are looking to learn more about strategies businesses have considered or implemented in response to tariffs, their confidence in Ontario’s economic outlook and their ability to adapt to ongoing trade tensions.

The chamber says the responses will help it advocate for policies and resources that support the business community in Ontario.
