Chamber wants to hear from businesses impacted by new tariffs
The North Bay and District Chamber of Commerce says it’s working closely with its provincial and national groups to ensure the voice of business is represented as governments respond to trade uncertainty.
This after the collapse of trade talks with the United States.
The chamber is looking to hear from affected businesses with examples of how new 50% tariffs will affect them, especially small and medium-sized enterprises.

“We find ourselves in new and uncharted territory with the US trade relationship and uncertainty continues,” states a social media post. “Many members and the business community have spent the past year adapting to changing trade conditions and inability to plan and make investment due to unknowns. We know the collapsed trade talks and news will raise new questions for companies that export, import or are part of North American supply chains.”
Officials say they will continue to share updates, resources and advocacy efforts as more information becomes available.
