Christmas in Concert with the 22 Wing Band
The Pro-Cathedral of the Assumption is inviting the community to kick off the Christmas season with a festive evening of music and cheer.
The 22 Wing Band will present “Christmas in Concert” on Tuesday, November 25 at 7:00 p.m. at the Pro Cathedral of the Assumption, 480 McIntyre Street, North Bay.
This annual Christmas performance by the 22 Wing Band will make its first appearance at the historic Pro-Cathedral, bringing the joy of live music to one of the city’s most beloved landmarks. Under the direction of Band Director Chip Kean, concertgoers can look forward to a heartwarming program of Christmas favourites performed by some of the region’s finest musicians.
Tickets are $25 for adults and $10 for youth under 18. They are available for purchase online at ProCathedral.ca or in person at the Parish Office. A total of 450 tickets are available, with proceeds supporting the Pro-Cathedral’s ongoing Roof and Bell Tower Restoration Campaign.
“We’re thrilled to share our annual Christmas concert at the Pro-Cathedral this year,” said Chip Kean, Director of the 22 Wing Band. “It’s an incredible venue with beautiful acoustics, and we can’t wait to fill it with the sounds of the season. This concert is about bringing people together through music — and, to me, that’s what Christmas is all about.”
The Pro-Cathedral is in the third year of a five-year plan to raise $1.25 million to replace the cathedral roof and complete necessary maintenance on the bell tower. So far, the parish community has already raised nearly half of the goal through generous local support and special events.
