Festival of Trees and Santa Claus parade on the go this weekend By Richard Coffin

You’ll notice it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas with a couple more events this weekend.

First is the 2024 Festival of Trees & All Things Christmas at Gateway City Brewery on Friday and Saturday.

Along with entertainment, bids are open on decorated Christmas trees, wreaths, holiday décor and more.

Proceeds will benefit the PADDLE Program in providing lifelong experiences for adults with developmental disabilities and support the North Bay Regional Health Centre’s highest priority medical equipment needs.

The festival takes place from 3 pm to 11 pm on Friday and 11 am to 2 pm on Saturday.

Sunday, meantime, is the North Bay Santa Claus Parade.

Donations to the North Bay Food Bank are being collected along the parade route, which starts at noon at Chippewa and Cassells.

It will then turn onto Ferguson Street and then Main Street.

The theme this year is Country Christmas.
