City Councillor Justine Mallah Announces Second Term Run for City Council

Be Heard. Be Seen. Vote Justine! Councillor Justine Mallah Runs for Second Term

Justine Mallah is seeking a second term on North Bay City Council, building on a record of integrity and responsiveness while continuing to champion the ideas of community members.

“The best ideas don't always come from City Hall,” said Mallah. “I don't have all the answers, and I don't pretend to. My job is to listen, bring people together, and turn great ideas into results. When people are heard, we find better solutions and build a stronger community.”

Mallah has been a strong advocate for bringing people together to move good ideas forward. One example was a resident’s suggestion to allow outdoor skating rinks to serve as dog parks during the off-season. Mallah worked with staff to assess the idea's feasibility and secured support for a pilot project during budget deliberations.

“It’s the perfect example of expanding City services with minimal resources,” said Mallah.

Being accessible and responsive has remained one of Mallah's top priorities throughout her first term.

“I’ve spent this term responding to thousands of emails, connecting with hundreds of residents, and working hard to help people navigate City processes and advocate on their behalf,” she said. “Every person deserves to be heard, whether their concern is big or small.”

Mallah says she’s focused on delivering results that improve everyday life for residents. As Chair of Community Services, Mallah championed North Bay’s Housing Action Plan, the waterfront development project, the new Tree Canopy Policy, several public art initiatives, and the expansion of free recreational amenities like the Kiwanis All-Wheel Park. Progress that wouldn’t have been possible without working together, she says.

Mallah's campaign will continue under the slogan “Be Heard. Be Seen. Vote Justine.” A message she says reflects the commitment she has demonstrated throughout her first term.

“I am proud to have stood by this promise. Every resident deserves to be heard and seen by their elected officials. I will continue working hard to represent residents, strengthen our community, and ensure residents’ voices help shape the future of North Bay.”
