City fire crews extinguish boat fire Wednesday afternoon

There were no injuries after a boat fire at the North Bay Marina just after 3 pm Wednesday.
Deputy Fire Chief Greg Saunders says crews from stations one and three were on the scene within four minutes, with fire and heavy black smoke visible, and quickly snuffed out the blaze.
He says a towing company deployed booms in the water to absorb the contaminates from the fire and the boat was successfully removed from the lake.
There’s no word on a cause.
