City man charged with four counts of break and enter

City police have charged a North Bay man after a series of daylight break and enters dating back to July.
Just after 6pm on Saturday, the North Bay Police Service says officers responded to a report of a break and enter in progress in the Vimy Street area.
A person fled but was located and arrested, with police saying the investigation led to charges in three other daytime break-ins:
- July 21 in the Lee Avenue area
- July 27 in the McLaren Street area
- August 18 in the McIntyre Street area
Police say a significant amount of personal belongings, including jewelry, cash, and electronic devices were taken.
A 61-year-old man faces four break and enter charges along with four counts of failing to comply with a probation order.
” I want to commend the dedicated work of our officers and investigators whose quick action and persistence led to this arrest,” says Chief Daryl Longworth. “Break and enters are not just property crimes—the violation of someone’s home leaves a lasting impact on the sense of safety for the resident and has a ripple affect across the entire community. We will continue to use every tool available to bring offenders to justice and safeguard the homes and families of North Bay.”
The man was held in custody for a bail hearing.
