City of North Bay Invites Feedback

Downtown Waterfront Plans
The City of North Bay is launching public engagement for the next phase of its Downtown Waterfront development and inviting residents to help shape the future of this important community space.
This phase focuses on the large common area located behind the North Bay Museum. The site will be designed to complement and connect with nearby amenities, including the Family of Rotary Splash Pad and Playground, the North Bay and Dionne Quints museums, the multi-use courts, and the Kiwanis All-Wheel Park. Building on two decades of waterfront development, the project aims to create new features and amenities that enhance recreation, tourism, and community life.
The first step in this process is gathering input from the public through an online survey launching today, which will be followed by additional opportunities for engagement through both in-person and virtual meetings. The first virtual session will take place on Sept. 9 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Residents are encouraged to complete the survey before Sept. 30. Those who complete the full survey will be entered into a draw to win one of six $100 Hello Cards, redeemable at more than 20 shops and restaurants in Downtown North Bay.
“Public feedback is essential to creating a vibrant waterfront that reflects the needs and aspirations of our community,” said Coun. Justine Mallah, Chair of Community Services. “This is a chance for residents to have a direct say in shaping the next chapter of our Downtown Waterfront.”
