City Police Community Engagement Unit lining up summer events

By Richard Coffin

If you or your group are looking to invite the city police Community Engagement Unit to your event, the time is now.

The North Bay Police Service says it’s gearing up for summer and is attempting to streamline requests for involvement in community events.

In the past, officers in the unit have taken part in drum-building workshops, a variety of charity events, they’ve spoken to students about being a police officer and more.

Officials say the city police mascot Radar and the Community Engagement Officers can be requested by emailing communityevents@northbaypolice.on.ca.
