Clarke, Anna-Marie (nee Ingarra)
Passed away peacefully at Eastholme – Home for the Aged on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at the age of 70. Beloved wife of the late George Clarke. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Anna-Marie has touched all our lives in such influential ways. She was meant to be a trailblazer and took this role on naturally. She proved this time and time again by being many firsts in her family dynamic and setting precedent.
She started as the first-born grandchild on her mother’s (Jean Ingarra nee Pepetone) side and first-born female grandchild on her father’s (Joseph Ingarra) side.
She was the first to successfully further her education in her immediate family leading the way for others to follow.
She continued to lead into a 25-year successful professional career dedicating her life to helping others and gaining lifelong friendships along the way. These friends have remembered Anna-Marie as having a “heart of gold and an amazing sense of humour.” They describe her as “fiercely loyal” as she took them “under her wing.”
Anna-Marie prioritized relationships where honesty, fairness and courage mattered most.
Anna-Marie cherished her time with family, considering the physical distance as she chose to live a “smaller town” lifestyle since an early age. Moving to Barrie and spreading her wings to Orillia and then North Bay.
Her preference for this “small town” lifestyle and desire for independence led her to accomplishing more firsts in her time here with us. She was first to own an ATV and go off roading, first to gain her gun license and participate in the sport of hunting. (she would laugh and admit mostly as a chef to the crew as her heart was with the animals)
Spending time at “the family cottage” was a joy for her.
Not only did she dedicate her career life to her passion of helping others, but she also engaged in other passions she held dearly and jumped into whole heartedly, like pet ownership. She was a dedicated Dog Mom to many pets.
Anna-Marie enjoyed cooking, baking and trying new recipes that became classics. She loved knitting and sewing. She was a skilled folk painting artist, her penmanship was superb which led her into calligraphy, and she basically perfected any art and craft she poured her heart and soul into.
Anna-Marie is truly loved, greatly cherished and sadly missed.
