Clean, Green, Beautiful launches Streetscapes 2025

By Richard Coffin

A community-wide initiative that recognizes and celebrates the most inspiring outdoor spaces in North Bay is underway.

Clean, Green, Beautiful North Bay’s Streetscapes program helps shine a light on beautification efforts by residents and businesses.

From vibrant front yards to edible gardens, blooming balconies, and local storefronts, nominations are now being accepted.

Inspiring outdoor spaces will be judged in six categories:

  • Best Overall Curb Appeal
  • Balcony or Small-Space Garden
  • Edible Garden
  • O’Natural Garden
  • Street Recognition
  • Business Streetscape

“This year, we’ve expanded Streetscapes to include more categories that reflect the diverse ways people care for their outdoor spaces,” says Hariett Madigan, Clean, Green, Beautiful Co-Chair. “Whether it’s a big yard or small balcony, everyone’s contribution adds to the beauty of our neighbourhood and we want to celebrate them all.”

Nominations are open from June 1 to July 31.

The Streetscapes judging panel includes:

  • June Charette (North Bay Horticultural Society)
  • Lori Laporte (Laporte’s Nursery)
  • Judy Hendry (Heritage Gardeners and Master Gardener)

The top three nominees will be selected for an award in each category.
