The West Ferris Ringette Association is hosting a Birthplace of Ringette Centennial Celebration and offering a chance to ‘Try Ringette for Free’.

The event takes place Friday, March 14 (1-3 pm) at the Sam Jacks Complex.

It’s open to all ages.

Registration can be done online and officials say bring skates and a helmet. There’s also a U11 division showcase game taking to the ice from 3-4 pm.

Meantime, the West Ferris 63s U14A team (pictured above) is competing at provincials March 13-16.

The tournament is taking place in Sault Ste. Marie with teams from across the province, in multiple age groups, taking part.

The 63s will play at least five games in a division featuring the top 16 U14A teams.
