Community’s ‘amazing capacity’ for caring about vulnerable pets on display at golf tournament
More than $31,000 was raised for the North Bay and District Humane Society at last week’s Monaghan and Furry Friends Scramble.
“The tally is in and the community has once again displayed an amazing capacity for caring about vulnerable pets,” reads a post on social media.
The 17th annual golf tournament was held July 14 at Osprey Links in Callander.
The money raised goes towards programs and services at the humane society, to support vulnerable pets.
Officials say all funds stay local to help fund veterinary care, medicine, treatments, transportation, and more.
